PHILOSOPHY & APPROACH

CENTRE PHILOSOPHY

At Broome ELC, we exist to create opportunities for children to flourish and grow in body, mind and spirit – building the foundations they need for school, for relationships and for life.

Our purpose is to ensure every child who learns with us develops the wellbeing, confidence and capabilities they need to flourish now and into the future.

Our philosophy is grounded in the Y’s core values of respect, honesty, responsibility, and caring, which guide the way we learn, play, and interact each day.

DEVELOPING SCHOOL READINESS

We offer an evidence-based School ReadY program in our Kindy room. Designed for children ages 3 to 5, the program builds essential literacy, language, social-emotional, and numeracy skills, helping them flourish at school and in life. A Literacy Specialist partners with the team and provides regular coaching to strengthen delivery of the School ReadY program.
