A free leadership program at the Y HQ in Leederville for young people ages 16 to 25 to develop skills, plan events, and make a real impact in their community.
Youth Squad is a free youth leadership program at the Y HQ in Leederville for young people ages 16 to 25 who want to develop leadership skills, have their voice heard, and make a positive impact on their community.
Young people gain hands on experience in events planning, understanding how a gig space operates, and managing creative projects. It’s a great opportunity to meet like-minded young people, build confidence and make a real difference in Perth’s youth community.
Youth Squad is proudly sponsored by Healthway. In support of this, the program has integrated the SEW (Social and Emotional Wellbeing) Arts framework into its core activities, weaving in intentional, arts-based experiences designed to nurture participants’ positive wellbeing. The framework is guided by four key wellbeing factors: Tuning In, Feeling, Discovering, and Connecting.
