Inside Our Minds is back for its 8th iteration, and this year, we’re focusing on the theme, ‘Facing the Future’ which explores how the challenges and stresses young people are experiencing today are shaping their hopes, fears and anxieties about what lies ahead, and ultimately impacting their mental health.
‘Facing the Future’ sees seven young people aged between 14-22 share stories around anxiety, neurodivergence, chronic illness, isolation, cost-of-living pressures, identity and the uncertainty that can come with planning for the future.
The 2026 campaign theme of ‘Facing the Future’ has evolved to broaden its scope and reflect the wide-ranging experiences of all young people. Inside Our Minds puts young people at the centre of the conversation and gives them the opportunity to be heard as they navigate what it means to Face the Future.
WA Mental Health Week runs from 4–11 October 2026, bringing communities together to encourage conversations about mental health, increase awareness and help reduce stigma.
