We were delighted to join the students and staff at Anzac Terrace Primary School today in Bassendean, winners of the Nova FM Book Week competition, for a celebration of reading and imagination.
At the Y WA, we understand the critical role early literacy plays in a child’s development and future success. That’s why creating a love of reading is embedded throughout our Early Learning Centres and School ReadY Program. Every story we share and book we read build’s the skills and confidence children need to flourish.
We’re proud to support initiatives that encourage a lifelong love of reading. I’m pleased that we were able to contribute $5,000 to Anzac Terrace Primary School, to further support opportunities for students to reach their full potential.
This school truly embraced the spirit of Book Week with incredible costumes and plenty of laughter. We were also very impressed by the talented throwers at our Y WA bean bag toss!
Thank you to Nova FM, the school staff, students and families for making this year’s Book Week celebration so memorable. It is such a privilege to see firsthand the impact that literacy, learning and community support can have on a child’s future.
