Gettin’ chilly for charity at the Y WA!

Our Kalgoorlie REC Manager, Leah, recently participated in the Daffodil Day Dip, organised by the Goldfields Women’s Health Centre, to help raise funds for Cancer Council.

Joining representatives from a range of local organisations, including Bega Health, ACCO NTP, the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and many more, Leah challenged herself to spend 18 minutes in an 8-degree ice bath for this important cause.

The generosity of our community was outstanding, with fundraising efforts exceeding the original $3,000 goal and reaching an incredible $6,600.

We are proud to see Leah and our team supporting initiatives that make a positive difference in the community. At the Y, we are committed to fostering a workplace where people feel empowered to contribute to causes that they care about and flourish both personally and professionally.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this fantastic fundraising effort!
